Queer as Folk Holiday Gift Exchange

Happy New Year! or January 10th as the case may be. Here's my annual wrap up post! You may have noticed there were a few more sign-ups and gifts than last year (28 - woo!), so thank you to all who participated and went the extra mile to share TEH LOVE! And as long as there's continuing interest, I'm definitely happy to carry on the tradition - It's a bit of an annual reunion!

I was keeping my fingers crossed for a couple more gifts to roll in this last week, but life stuff happens. There's always next time! And then there also miiight be some part twos of fics coming at ya soon-ish #guilty.

REMINDER: If you want to make some QAF creations for some other festive days in our QAF calendar, be sure to keep Justin's Magical Heart-Shaped Ass Day (Feb 14th) and Cuddle Day (June 18th) in mind. [and if anyone knows why June 18th is the day, please let me know -it has been a mystery to me!] Feel free to post to either queer_as_fics or ekg_club or even qaf_one_liners on both LJ or Dreamwidth. As well, send qafgiftxchnge on tumblr a submit and I can share it there as well!

As you begin to cross-post, please remember to tag on tumblr with #qafgiftxchnge as well as maybe @ mentioning @qafgiftxchnge so I can reblog there. GIFT REQUEST: angst, canon-compliant, hurt/comfort, Brian/Justin - I really love hurt/comfort. And I love a good vulnerable Brian fic.
NOTE: I hope it’s okay, but this fic actually ended up becoming a continuation for something I wrote for the 2014 Gift Exchange called “Family Ties”, but can also be read as a standalone. I might just suggest reading that one first for a little more backstory. In short, Brian tries to come to terms with his feelings in the aftermath of his mother’s untimely passing. The gang rallies around him, and two, in particular, help him realize that he doesn’t have to face anything alone.
