I'm so glad my card made to your house and brought you happiness during the holidays...

It's nice to know I've been missed! I keep thinking that I'm going to re-engage with all my social media friends. I've been having a hard time this winter. I hate to say I've been depressed, but I guess it's probably true...

My sister Jan has MS, and she's had a dozen MRI's this fall and she's scheduled to see a neurologist next week.

I found out on Christmas day that my sister Patty (who lives across the country in California) has been diagnosed with early on-set dementia. She's just a three years older than me, I'll be 60 next month. I think I've been in shock, and still trying to accept what's happening. But it also explains how quite and withdrawn she's been over the last few years when she's visited.

I've been reading about dementia and alzheimers the most common type of dementia. We don't have a family history of dementia but it really makes you think about your own health. I'm so glad I've been making some changes this last year.I've loss almost 50-lbs since the Con in Toronto, and my diabetics AIC is now almost perfect.


And of course I'm behind on writing my fics for the QAF Gift Xchange... I feel bad about that, I sent one off the Amanda yesterday. And I hope to complete and second one today. I need to start writing/updating my own fics it's been months since I've posted anything. I do miss all our fangirls, and I think it will help refocus my energy if I come back and re-engage with everyone.

Thanks for listening to me bitch and complain I guess I just needed to vent...
