QAF GIFT EXCHANGE 2021!

Welcome to the 2021 GIFT EXCHANGE!!!!! Did you know, this is the TENTH gift exchange I've organized! It's amazing how our love for the Liberty Avenue Gang keeps on going!

~ The sign up post will be posted shortly.

~ Sign ups will remain open until November 1st, 2021 11:59pm Eastern

~ Assignments will be sent out by end of November 6th, 2021. I will make assignments and pair you up with your gift recipient - you will receive all three of their prompts and it's up to you how you to want to interpret them! Give one gift, give more, combine prompts - whatever gets the creative juices flowing!

I hope many of you will participate. Last year there were 17 gifts given, so come out, come out wherever you are, old fans and new!

This exchange will be held on Livejournal, and promoted by me on Tumblr.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WILL SOME MINOR CHANGES THIS YEAR!!
Major note: you will be posting your own creations to the platform of your choice and emailing me the links and header to post to the qaf_giftxchnge page. We'll see how it goes, and we can always switch back next year!

OCTOBER 18th — Sign-ups open

NOVEMBER 1st — Sign-ups close

NOVEMBER 6th — Assignments will be sent. You will receive a neat email with all the information regarding your recipient. If you don’t receive it, please let us know so we can fix it.

NOVEMBER 26th — First check-in. Just a quick email to keep in touch and see how you’re doing. At this time we'll also coordinate preferred posting date - you'll chose your top three dates for posting and then I'll let you know which one you'll be assigned.

DECEMBER 13th — Final check-in. By now you should be finishing your creations and almost ready for posting! If you aren’t and need an extension or need to drop out, please let us know.

DECEMBER 30th —Posting begins and will continue until January 7th, 2022.

‘Tis the time to celebrate! Go on full Holiday mode and share with everyone in fandom your creations on your posting date.

Before the exchange

• Apply and let me know your preferences in all things QAF!

• I will make every effort to match requests with talent. I will also make every effort to fulfill each request. However, if for some reason, your request cannot be fulfilled, I would hope that whatever is substituted will be accepted with gratitude and dignity and with the spirit in which is was intended.

• Please don't sign up if you may not be able to fulfill your gift. IF an emergency happens and you can't participate, please let me know as soon as possible so I can beg someone to stand in so that no one goes giftless.

• Please, NO Brian/Michael, no MPREG, no RPS. Everything else is fine.

• All submissions have to be new and complete, everything else would be just plain rude.

• Wait for me to send you the details on your recipient and what they want to receive.

• Need clarification about those details or want to spread the holiday love before the actual exchange? Email me qafgiftxchnge @ gmail.com and I'll pass along the question!

• Keep in mind your recipient’s preferences regarding the things they don’t want to see in their gifts. Be respectful at all times, and spread the love!

• There is no minimum for what you want to create for your recipient. Go wild and bask in all the Holiday Spirit! However, fic gifts do not need to be epic multi chaptered sagas. 10,000 words MAXIMUM. Drabbles are welcome.

• Should you have questions or suggestions, please feel free to send an email!

During the exchange

• You can post your creations to your platform of choice! (see notes on submitting your work below)

• Gifts are to be posted December 30, 2021 to January 7, 2022

• Participate! Comment, reblog, share, like! Enjoy the QAF Holiday Spirit!

submitting your work

• Links to all submissions should emailed to qafgiftxchnge @ gmail.com on your posting date (Dec 30th-Jan 7).

• Gift posts should not be friends-list locked to ensure all giftees can see/read their gift! (You can always revert to f-locked if needed 1 month after posting)

• In the subject line of your email, please include 2021 GIFT, your screen name, gift for: [name]. This makes it so much easier for us to find and organize your work.

• Please remember to copy, paste, and fill this out to include in your email along with your submission:
