As for the attention to detail bit, one thing that drove me insane during QAF was the inconsistencies with the city of Pittsburgh (which is where I'm from). I know they filmed in Toronto, so obviously landmarks were not happening, which is fine, but I mean... for example, anytime they mentioned a river, they used the Susquehanna, which is not even on the same side of the state!! Pittsburgh is KNOWN for its 3 rivers, could they not have done a little research and chosen one of those?? Lol. I live in Vegas now, which is also an occasional fic setting, so... lol. Just, a little research goes a long way! (so THANK YOU!! Hehe)
