YAY! I was equal parts excited and terrified when I got your request! Lol. When I first joined the QAF fandom, many moons ago (I think it was during S5), you were one of the first authors I started reading. So, consider it MY honor!

I love Brian as a parent, and I enjoy trying to figure out how he and Justin would co-pilot on the journey (especially alongside Lindsay and Melanie). This idea came about because I knew I wanted Gus to visit them in NYC, but I didn't want to have to focus the plot around what they did, per se (because I am a little obsessive with my writing, and would research ridiculous minutia to make sure it was accurate in ways no one but me would care about lol). I think that one of the hallmarks of Brian as a father would be ensuring that his son grows up to be independent-minded and confident, with all the advantages he felt he lacked (but provided in a sensible-ish way).
