Wow, thank you!! I loved how introspective this was, for each character that had a voice. It was all so fitting to their personalities and attitudes. I love when the gang all comes together to have Brian's back, too.
Your 2016 updates for everyone seem pretty close to where I have placed them in my own personal head canon too -- in my head, Ted and Blake got married, and Emmett and Drew stayed together too. I have never pictured Justin with his own child, but I love the idea of Simon, and especially Brian's relationship with him. In general, I love the idea of Brian softening with age, losing some of the rough edges, and being more "human" (without losing what makes him inherently "Brian" lol).
Incidentally, one of my Gift fics from 2014 had Joan dying on Christmas Eve... guess she has a knack for it! Lol. Thank you again, I love it!!
