Yes. It always seemed to me that the girls wanted it all ways where Brian's relationship with Gus was concerned. They wanted him to share responsibility with them for Gus's well-being - including, maybe especially, financially. But they didn't want to cede to him any rights in exchange for that acceptance of responsibility.
