Sorry for butting in, but I was just thinking this earlier re: Brian/Emmett's friendship, as I was rewatching Season 5 this week (but I always stop just before 512, the last two episodes make me anxious every time I watch them, lol). Brian and Emmett have very little shared screen time in the series, but whenever they do, it's always very interesting to me, and I loved how Gale and Peter played it, because so much of it is about body language more than words. There is definitely a mutual respect between them, even when it's not verbally displayed -- Emmett "gets" Brian in ways that the others (save for Justin) don't, and I think Brian has always truly respected and admired Emmett's in-your-face approach to being exactly who he is (no apologies, no regrets lol). So I loved that little nugget of their friendship in this as well!
